The museum’s Discovery Boatbuilding Program was founded in 1996. Students spend a full school year building two traditional Maine-designed ski s, and learn about the maritime history of Midcoast Maine. During this process they also build self-con dence, teamwork, and the ability to solve real-world challenges.
