The WBSAU is planning to offer public Pre-K for 12 students during the 2020-2021 school year through community partnerships at the Bath Area Family YMCA and Bath Head Start. To be eligible to apply for the any of the Pre-K programs, children must be residents of West Bath and must be 4 years old by October 15, 2020. Children will be awarded a placement through a lottery process during the week of May 18th. Parents will be notified of placement decisions on or by May 25th.
Students will be placed in programs via the lottery until all 12 spots are full, however program placement priority will be given to students who have previously been enrolled in a program and wish to remain there to allow for educational continuity. Any remaining student applications will be maintained in a waitlist.
Childcare (wrap-around care) before and after the morning Pre-K program can be purchased by families at the YMCA.
